Storyteller's Chair
The school received a very generous
donation from the Searl family and used it to pay
for a storyteller's chair.
The Searl family have had a member of their
family attending Balcombe School for 34 consecutive years. The
last Searle - Charlie, left the school for Warden Park last
summer 2006.
The chair was skilfully made by Matthew Cox,
the local blacksmith.
The chair is located near an oak tree which
means children can enjoy stories in sun and shade.
The chair will be looked after and used for
years to come.
